The core principle of the IDEA is that all disabled children will be educated, if possible with their non-disabled peers. This is the principle of “zero reject.” Though it has been fleshed out over the decades, it remains the bedrock anchor point of the IDEA that will not bend or break. Court cases have championed this principle over the years, granting entitlement to education for disabled students.
