Regardless of a vision impairment, moving about in our community provides mobility, independence and freedom. These are common attributes most adolescents and adults are seeking. This workshop will provide information on Motor Vehicle Department vision requirements in Arizona as an example for restricted and non-restricted driver’s licenses, and how to navigate a typical medical review program. Bioptic driving is permitted in most states as an adaptive method of driving, though requirements can vary considerably. We will discuss the pre-driving and driving recommendations common for those needing to drive with a bioptic lens.
