Consider all of the information we gather through hearing and vision that informs our understanding of what is about to happen next. For children and youth who are Blind/VI with additional disabilities, the absence of one or more distance senses can significantly impact their ability to anticipate activities, people, and materials in their environments. This webinar will discuss the use of tactile cues to support receptive communication, concept development, and social-emotional well being for these individuals. Participants will consider how they might implement tactile cueing systems in their own practice or when coaching team and family members.
